About CenSec

CenSec is an industrial cluster and a network center for small and medium enterprises who are or wish to become suppliers to the defence, security and/or space industry.

The history
CenSec is established on the basis of two projects:

• The Network Center for aircraft and defence, established in 2004 and based on the idea of disseminating knowledge among defense, industrial companies and knowledge institutions.
   
• Network Defense Supply which was established in 2006 and based on business interest in delivering equipment and services to defense and thus take part in industrial cooperation and modkøbsaftaler.

The two projects merged into one in 2007 under the name CenSec. At this time CenSec had about 60 companies in the network and CenSec was established as an association with a board, a director and a secretariat with two employees.

CenSec was operated by the Center for Subcontractors - CFU until February 2009 when the association was converted into self-employment.
